Violinist , dancer, choreographer and composer
Tania Vinokur studied classical dance andl violin at Tel Aviv Music
Academy and at the Jerusalem Music and Dance Academy, continuing her studies at Dance Academies of Seville and Madrid.
On her return from Spain, Tania has been performing with Mayumana
ensemble in Mayumana and Bejuntos programs in Israel and
throughout the world.
Quite soon, she has inaugurated an ensemble of her own - the Flamenco
Fusion Theater, which features nine musician and dancers. Cinco, their first
program was premiered at the Blazing Dance Festival in Tel Aviv and was
later presented at important venues in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Herzlia, Rehovot
and other locales. Cuadros (Pictures) their second program was first presented at the Renaissance
2009 Festival at Yehiam Fortress at the North of the country and still runs
in Tel Aviv, Ramat Ha Sharon, Latrun,Beit Govrin to a great success.
A multifaceted artist, Tania works in various genres, performing and
recording music and dance in different styles. She successfully cooperates
with such artists and ensembles, as renowned singer David Broza, a popular
electronic folk ensemble Matboojah Project, acclaimed Greek singer
Glikeria, The Yiddishpiel Theater, an Irish dance show Celtic Fire, Brazilian violinist Ricardo Hertz,Israeli singer Daphna Dekel and others.
In her Cuadros show Tania Vinokur brings together her two worlds, that of
music, as composer and a violinist, and that of dance, as a dancer and
choreographer.
She named her ensemble Flamenco Fusion Theater, and not by chance.
Fusion is a key word here. This fusion of different art genres and various
music styles creates a new and solid artistic language.
